Meet The Team
Acupuncturist & Herbalist
Dr. Jamie Wick, D.O.M.
Dr. Jamie Wick began to study acupuncture out of a deep curiosity about the body’s innate ability to heal. She was deeply curious about alternative ways to address dis-ease, in a way that causes less harm than many other approaches.
Before becoming an acupuncturist Jamie lived in Mexico and worked in human rights. She loved this work, and she also realized that traditional medicine, such as Chinese medicine, could offer a greater service to humanity. During her travels in Mexico, she was inspired by the deep connection to nature held by the people. The natural world is a part of their cosmovision, about life and about medicine. Jamie began to learn more about traditional medicine in different parts of the world and finally decided to study acupuncture.
Jamie is a board-certified acupuncturist by the NCCAOM, and a graduate of Maryland University of Integrative Health with a Doctorate in Oriental Medicine.
Jamie is a mom to two little ones who already love acupuncture. While Jamie considers herself a general practitioner, she also has a special interest in working with children and families, supporting couples on their fertility journey from preconception, pregnancy, and post-natal care, and she has a range of experience successfully treating those with pain, autoimmune conditions and other chronic conditions.
Jamie is part of a national panel of experts that is implementing the Modern Vitality program for people looking to heal from Fibromyalgia and other Autoimmune conditions.

Acupuncture, Herbs & Tui Na
Michael Brown has a Master’s of Science in Acupuncture from Tri-State College of Acupuncture and Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City. Michael is trained in three styles of acupuncture: Acupuncture Pain Management, Kiiko Style (Japanese acupuncture), and TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine).
In addition, Michael Brown trained in Tui Na under Tom Bisio, a leader in field of Tui Na. Tui Na is a form of Asian bodywork that is performed with the clothes on. Tui Na treats pain, improves range of motion, and supports overall wellbeing while restoring balance and harmony to the body by unblocking meridians and promoting the circulation of qi and blood.
Michael Brown not only enjoys treating privately, but he also enjoys providing acupuncture in a community setting. He currently provides this service in Baltimore supporting vulnerable communities during current opioid crisis.
Michael also enjoys practicing “moving medication”, also known as Tai Chi and Qi Gong. Michael teaches Tai Chi and Qi Gong throughout Maryland, DC and Baltimore. Michael believes that “the best doctor is the one inside of YOU! Acupuncture helps You heal yourself”
Cristina Profetto became an expert on clay therapy and a myriad of tools to support natural health and medicine through her own healing journey. Cristina discovered the power of clay when she faced a serious cancer diagnosis. She discovered the power of this “medicine of the earth” to support the body’s own healing process. Cristina used clay along with other healing tools to bring her body back into balance. Today she is strong, vibrant and excited to share this medicine with others. Cristina is offering clay workshops along with individual consultations. In a private consultation Cristina will teach you about clay and give you more specific tools to help you in your healing journey. Consultations can be done in Spanish, Portuguese, or with translation into English.
